In this video I will discuss how important it is to make a list! Having my clients draw or write down a list will better ensure follow through with their goals. Below I break down the 2 column list.
Column 1 is where we write down the symptoms; i.e., fidgeting hands with anxiety. There is often a stopping point of symptoms. Identifying the symptoms helps us to recognize pain points so we can come up with ways to solve them.
Column 2 is a list of all the things you can do to feel better or cause an opposite response; i.e., fidgeting with anxiety is a symptom, but going on a run is a controlled muscle movement giving you relief.
Writing helps us obtain knowledge faster as it is heard, repeated in our heads as we write it, then seen as we wrote it, and read again once it’s completed.
